@FediTips Search on Mastodon doesn't really work for me, by whichI mean that when I search for hot news terms or hashtags that are clearly not one-offs I often get no results or very few. How can I tell if this is an issue with fediverse, Mastodon, my instance, my client, or some interaction among some number of those?

@FediTips Mastodon bots here aren’t even bad, and most of them claim to even be environmentally sustainable.
Yeah, bots by themselves can be very useful. They usually don't use AI/LLMs but instead use human-written software to fetch particular info (for example a weather forecast bot) or interact in a particular way (for example a chess game bot).
