Signal is amazing, even though it‘s centralized on AWS servers. Important to the success of social platforms are network effects, meaning how many of your friends are using the same platform. Just make an account on Signal and put it away, just be there! While systems like Matrix, etc. etc. might be more decentralized, Signal is a huge step away from Meta!

@eff I rather prefer something like #SimpleX. Decentralized, not related on some US hosted big-corpo backends and not demanding stuff like phone numbers.
