I keep thinking about how a hot glue gun is like a drunk 3D printer that prints randomly-shaped things very poorly.

Ran out of glue sticks so ordered more. The cats had thoroughly shredded their favourite part of the scratching post, so I've been overdue to clean it up.
I think this is the fourth time I've done so in the 15yrs since I made the thing. Tedious but somewhat meditative.

A cat tree features four carpet covered platforms on a natural rope-wrapped post. The lower half of the post is shredded with dangling rope bits. There are signs of repair on the upper section from previous years.
The thing is standing on a low workbench in a garage with ladders and bikes and stuff around.
