Two #Russian pilots dead after the planes ejection system was accidentally activated while it was grounded. The accident likely involved either a Su-34 or a Su-24 fighter jet, which are often used to attack Ukraine.
These accidents often occur due to improper jet maintenance.

@timkmak From what I understand about these jets, when the power is off and there is no liquid pump pressure – the front-most part of the plane's rear aileron sinks down (as if the plane is going up), which pulls the stick back.
Now the problem with the stick being pulled back, towards the pilot, is that the ejection lever rests just under the seat. The stick gets STUCK on the ejection lever, and when the plane is turned on, the steering pressure comes back, pulling the stick UP and...
Splat.
