Bye bye, Windows 10! Microsoft is stopping support for the operating system today. If you're still using it, now is a good time to consider alternatives such as Linux, which is free and open source (like LibreOffice): https://blog.documentfoundation.org/blog/2025/10/14/end-of-10-ten-reasons-to-switch-from-windows-to-linux/ @Endof10 #endof10

very pale blue on light grey backlighted - I don't stand a chance

any suggestions what to do about text looking strange - rather hard to read, too. like handwritten with ink - not even strokes. nothing similar elsewhere in other apps or menus or...

@freyaanduin @Endof10 Not sure, but it certainly shouldn't look like that. It seems that anti-aliasing is disabled somehow, but you'd need to ask the Linux Mint community about that!

@libreoffice @Endof10 of course I'm still using Windows 10, as does my wife. It has a year left of security updates still.

Or one of the BSD forks. Both OpenBSD and FreeBBSD are sufficient for all day to day needs.
