Financial institutions hiding behind the cloak of legal compliance…but not explaining the reasons for closing activist accounts.

These people have not been arrested as terrorists, they haven’t said anything about #PalestineAction, so why have their accounts been closed with no explanation?

It’s almost like #VirginMoney and #YorkshireBuildingSociety fear being boycotted.

‘A spokesperson for #YBS said: “We never close savings accounts based on different opinions or beliefs. Accounts are closed only in very rare circumstances, with decisions made on the basis of the specific facts of the case.”

A #VirginMoney spokesperson previously said there were “a variety of reasons why we may decide, or be required, to suspend or close an account in order to comply with applicable laws and regulations”.’

But apparently the account holder doesn’t need to know why???

How easy is it to open a new account after you have had one closed by a financial institution?

Is it like insurers - do they share data on their investors?

Should there be open accountability and transparency for account holders?

I think so…this applies whether you are Nigel Farage or a leftwing law abiding activist.
