I got to the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes in Death Valley quite late today so I only got a couple of photos. I wanted to test this technique / editing. I'll be around here for a couple of days. So I'll be on it tomorrow. Get out there early, hike way to the backside to get away from all of the tourist footprints, and find some spots to shoot when the sun gets low.

A black and white landscape photo of ripples in the sand dune. The editing has made the photo very high contrast with black borders and a beam of light shinning in from the lower left to the upper right. The ripples are very prominent with nearly black backsides and very bright front sides where the low angle sunlight was hitting them.
