Friday reminder. Don't lose sight of what we need for lasting peace in Gaza -- Palestinian statehood.

Take a second and sign the global change dot org petition calling on the United States to recognize Palestinian right to statehood: https://bit.ly/4nEUKjT ❤️✊🏽

@QasimRashid it’s a shame that after the British empire gave up control of their colony of Palestine the international community didn’t support the development of a stable government and prosperous society in the part of Palestine that was not allocated to forming Israel, as they do for the part that was allocated to forming Israel.

It’s not surprising, but it is a shame.

Would Netanyahu be arrested if he travelled to Canada? 'Yes,' Carney says

"The leader of the only Jewish state ... isn&#39t welcome here. Make it make sense," said Macdonald-Laurier Institute senior fellow Casey Babb.

Ironic in the worst possible way:

* Post-WWII: The Zionists need a state so nobody can genocide them again.
* Today: The Palestinians need a state so the Zionists don't genocide them.

"Don't lose sight of what we need for lasting peace in Gaza -- Palestinian statehood."

A small but growing number now see a two state solution as inherently unworkable, because a western backed Israel next to it will always oppress it.

Those small but growing number see a one-state solution with equal rights for all as a better solution.

Over 20 years of engaging in this issue I think I am convinced.

It would be interesting to hear others views.
