@ai6yr what i observed and know wasn't captured in these figures were the great many numbers of very old people who couldn't get out to protest in large crowds, so they'd just go to their nearest street corner with a sign and just stake out there.
i saw a man who had to be in his 90s out there on his street corner, walker-bench in tow. there were SO MANY spontaneous sympathy protests.
