Joel Ross took over Mission Control of our local jazz trio Saturday night to play 2 killer sets. Joel set the local guys to cooking straight off. They’ll need a week to recover as it was a night of Joel’s music, mostly.
The one standard I recognized was Herbie Hancock’s “Maiden Voyage”. You can’t miss it with that big ballsy intro. And they played it hot. Space folded!
