Comparison of monthly temperature anomalies in the #Arctic versus the #Antarctic so far in 2025 (yellow lines). The other lines show the monthly anomalies for years from 1940 (blue) to 2024 (red). September was near record warm in the Antarctic.

Data available from @CopernicusECMWF ERA5 reanalysis.

@ZLabe @CopernicusECMWF Taken in toto, the Antarctic trends are very concerning. We are a water world after all…
