Meanwhile in Scotland, the Orkneys offer a model for publicly owned wind power schemes that retain profits in the locality.

If the green transition is to be accelerated then this model of green development looks like a viable way of pushing on with the move to renewables.

Energy *should* be a publicly owned utility as its privatisation has demonstrated - so, make the green transition a transition in ownership too?
