Good morning everyone. Four months after my Dad took his great leap into the Unknown, my Mum decided to follow him, passing away peacefully last night.
She was a feisty one, my Mum, and somewhat of a beauty in her day, having been a photographic model when she was younger. She was a social butterfly and loved nothing more than a good laugh with family and friends. She was complicated in many ways, but I will always remember her laughing. Just a couple of weeks ago when I phoned her she recounted buying a Chinese mobility scooter off the Internet and how she zoomed across a busy main road with it as it went so fast, and she laughed heartily, saying she had a Guardian Angel with her that day.
I hope that Angel has now taken her by the hand and led her back to Dad so they can be together again, both young and fabulous and laughing together as they do in my memories.
