The Committee says changing the voting system is a major democratic decision and needs deeper engagement. Their solution: a people’s assembly to examine how BC should elect its MLAs. 2/10
Public input was overwhelming. This year, 93 percent of submissions to the Committee called for proportional representation. Only 2 percent wanted to keep first-past-the-post. 3/10
