My wife & I decided to buy a work of art for our 40th wedding anniversary & today spent a lovely afternoon with Alan Stones an artist based near Penrith... and have bought Historians.

For us this is redolent of our many visits to Florence & is the perfect anniversary present to ourselves.

His work is really great & I'd recommend anyone interested in contemporary figurative painting & prints to have a look at his excellent web-page.
