Tell your MP to attend the debate on #digital #IDs

Nearly 3 million people signed the petition ‘Do not introduce Digital ID cards’ .

The government, however, is pushing ahead regardless of public concern. Democracy?

The government is at risk of creating a digital #surveillance infrastructure that will fundamentally change how we live. What begins as an ID card could quickly expand into a system where we are forced to prove who we are as we go about our daily lives.

Image with text on the left side stating:

"Say no to Digital ID."

To the right are two, yellow, cow ear tags. Around the hole where it's attached to the cow's ear are the letters "UK" and then mimicking binary code with a series of 1's and 0's.

On the main area of the tag is, from the top:

A royal crown with the letters "UK" to the right.
Next line has a random 6 digit number (as seen on cow ear tags).

Last line is:

"GBR < DIGITAL < ID"

Once this infrastructure exists, mission creep is inevitable.

- What starts as ‘voluntary’ becomes mandatory
- A system that is just for workers expands to everyone, including children
