Today in 1984, 41 years ago: in Bhopal (India) there is a leak of gaseous methyl isocyanate in a pesticide factory of the American company Union Carbide (Bhopal Disaster). In the first weeks it will cause the death of more than 20,000 people. The company did not respond for the damage caused. On June 7, 2010, an Indian court sentenced eight executives of the company to two years in prison and to pay about US $10,600.
