The European Union has announced it is fining Elon Musk's X platform $140 million, saying it breached the Digital Services Act. The 2022 law requires internet companies to aggressively combat hate speech and misinformation. The U.S. government has condemned the move, and while Musk has not as yet addressed it, he has shared an X post advocating for a U.S. bill that would allow companies to sue foreign entities over censorship claims.
