Never mind about AI & e-recrods, HealthWatch England has found that around 14% of GP referrals for treatment disappear for a range of reasons, and patients only find this out when they chase referrals that have not (over time) resulted in an appointment.
While systematic issues of capacity over-load are contributing to this, it seems such a simple & fundamental problem that it should be a priority to sort it out... and that just requires *better* administration!
