I'm seeing a pattern of people reporting AI content on Loops, now while AI content is technically allowed, you do need to mark "Contains AI content" when uploading.
I think Loops should hide AI content from the For You Feed by default, but also have a setting to manually allow it if desired.
It's quite tricky to find balance sometimes, but in this situation, it's pretty easy, by supporting both sides with sensible defaults.

@dansup I wish it would be banned. I'm not against AI, but the slop videos are so irresponsible for many reasons.
@effariwhy Even if we tried to ban it, that wouldn't prevent people from uploading it.
Instead, I think we should prioritize the ability for users to filter it out easily, and allow them to report suspected AI, rather than just trying to pretend it doesn't exist and claiming we ban it.
@dansup true, banning puts even more work on moderators and we'll never grow the fediverse by wearing out people who are often volunteers

@dansup how many people do you have do check this claims? or is a report always = guilty and delete? i think that could be a problem in the future not?
@emaechler we don't delete AI content, if they didn't mark it as AI, we simply add that designation.
