#ScribesAndMakers March 12. Our featured creator has an em dash key on his keyboard. Do you do any customizations for your creativity?
Oh boy do I!
I don't really do special character bindings because my OS supports the compose key. Conversely, the keyboard itself is heavily customized. Handmade, actually.
The highlight reel:
- Width set special to fit into a briefcase I own, for the purpose of a project I'm unlikely to get around to now.
- 3 rotary encoders for: volume, screen briteness, and move between vitual desktops. Each has a click function. When used with the Function key they serve as the X, Y, and Scroll of a mouse.
- Function-chord bindings for all the numpad keys for various music controls, printscreen, etc.
It has flaws. I really need to find a way to add a numlock state indicator; since there's no central column or dedicated arrow keys I actually enter and exit numlock FREQUENTLY now.
