This 1913 Pope-Hartford Model 31 is a four-passenger phaeton that is said to have spent several decades in California, where it was purchased by the father of its previous owner in the 1990s. Wearing an older refurbishment, the car is said to have participated in Horseless Carriage Club tours over the years before being purchased by its current owner approximately a month ago. Power is provided by a 300ci inline-four with two monobloc cylinder and head castings, overhead valves operated by cold-drawn steel-tube pushrods, and a mechanical oiling unit. Finished in white, the car also features a four-speed manual transmission, rear drum brakes, 27” wood-spoke wheels with demountable rims, a black convertible top, black tufted leather upholstery over two rows of bench seating, and a rear luggage rack carrying a wicker basket.
