Lisa Makes Stuff (she/her)

Welp, since it will be at least a week before I can finish this quilt, I'll just go ahead and post a lil sneak peek now. This is the finished top, not yet quilted.

I'm calling this one "Kintsugi", after the Japanese repair technique, where a small, gold line appears where a piece of broken pottery has been repaired.

Materials: cotton fabric, metallic cotton fabric, polyester thread
Size: ~34" x 34" (~86 cm x 86 cm)
Unfinished
#quilt #quilting #sewing

A black, red, and metallic gold quilt top. The thin gold lines appear between the black and red spaces, where the fabric has been cut at a variety of angles. For the most part, the red and black alternate, although there are some areas where the gold line crosses two areas that are the same color. If you look closely, you'll see that there are actually 4 blocks, each rotated 90 degrees, going in a clockwise direction starting from the upper left corner. The color changes alternate between the 4 blocks.
