Almost every single website / company these days, no matter what they do or don't:

"AI this and AI that"

Sorry but it's not something to be proud of but rather shameful

Pro: makes it easy to decide which companies not to work for/with

Con: makes it essentially impossible to find companies working with actually useful elements of AI/ML that aren't generative bullshit

@stux I'm slowly de- #enshittification my life. I am cutting everything that "Now improved with AI..."

All my primary applications have been swapped out for "dumb" ones. My browser is degoogled. I have a stack of notebooks on my desk and several of those little ones for my pocket. lol. Phone as a computer usage down to minutes per day instead of hours.

@stux Today I searched a search engine for how to do something, ignored the AI Overview and clicked on the top result for the official documentation.

The official documentation, instead of telling me how to do the thing, told me to open Copilot and gave me a prompt to type to find the answer.

THE OFFICIAL DOCUMENTATION DID NOT HAVE THE ANSWER.

THE OFFICIAL DOCUMENTATION GAVE ME A PROMPT TO ASK AN LLM.

💀 💀 💀

How do we train the LLMs if the documentation tells me to ask an LLM.

😆 😭

@stux "This is how you hire better".
But with AI you don't need to hire people (end sarcasm)

Screenshot of original image, highlighting the message "This is how you hire faster, develop better, and retain longer at scale." to drive home the point
