I marched with my brother, his kids, his best friend and their partner, and several thousand people. There were 4 masked goons trying to intimidate the crowd, young men dressed in black with masks pretending to be ICE. They were surrounded by No Kings organizers to protect the crowd.

But how can we stop this when Republicans use the "law" to hurt us? I live in Chicagoland. Trump's goons are everywhere, snatching people with no warrants. Teargassing & pepperballing, arresting citizens. 😞

@stux @Indivisible CLT put together 60+ marshals for our rally and march in Charlotte, NC. A former mayor of the city was on Team C-1 with me.

@stux No violence. No arrests. None. Not one. Amazing, for "hate America" rallies to have a complete absence of hating America. The only things being hated on are Trump and his craven cronies.

@stux the White House can invoke the Insurrection Act just because some sanctuarious mayors refuse to copperate with the ICE. I know it looks weird but they make such contradicting laws, when asylum seekers at the same time are guilty and subject to fines and deporto, because of illegal entry.

@stux Sadly, it is the case worldwide (and here in Germany, sadly too) that democratically elected governments are becoming increasingly fascist dictatorships.
