@randomgeek Is that tree-sitter similarity a good or a bad thing? What did change since then?
@ctietze had to think about that. Mostly it's just flavor. People are still getting used to tree-sitter in Emacs, so the paths to incorporate aren't obvious yet.

My two favorite uses of #Emacs are taking notes in Org Mode and uh well honestly the other primary use of Emacs for me is configuring Emacs.
It is its own hobby. I'll own up to it.
@randomgeek sometimes, I wonder if I'll ever get around to actually writing anything in Org Mode.
@pdcawley It's one of those things where if you don't need it, you don't need it. Org is its own kitchen sink with Emacs as the host.
Markdown is widely understood enough that it suffices for any note taking (as long as they don't stop at CommonMark), with parsing frameworks robust enough that you can implement the funky live coding and task management features.
@randomgeek that's not what I meant. Everything's in Org, and my config lives in a README.org that actually does some non-trivial code rearrangement during the tangling process. It's more that I don't often get down to the actual writing part.
@pdcawley ohhh right right. Yeah I take some notes in Org and occasionally write blog posts, but the bulk of my Org content is code to be tangled.

Make sure to get the numbers right so you don't fry your monitor!
@randomgeek I do prefer LCDs over CRTs, though. On the other hand, it was nice not having to run a full desktop environment to be able to configure the network. I sort of snicker when people talk about MWM as lightweight now. :)
