I was just blocked by a mutual follower for saying that I'm a non-voter, in the context of expressing my resentment at non-voters being blamed for Trump's election. So be it.
Anyone else who wants to blame a Black trans person like myself when tens of millions actively voted for Trump in increasing numbers in 2016, 2020, and 2024, feel free to block me as well.

I am the child of a Black mother and white Jewish father.
I am agender transmasculine and go by they/them pronouns, not he/him.

For the record, I still vote on local non-partisan offices and ballot propositions, but I have not voted for a major-party candidate for president since the 90s.

I can't express how upsetting it is to me, as a person who has tried to amplify the voices of marginalized people like myself despite suffering from severe, often suicidal depression, to constantly be blamed, belittled, and derided by my so-called allies for my refusal to support the Democratic Party.
I left most social media networks partly because of this. Maybe I should leave Mastodon too. But I need to stay on top of things to be effective at my main work, volunteer editing on Wikipedia.
@funcrunch By not voting for Harris, you voted for Trump. You and everyone else who abstained from voting are as responsible for Trump being president as those that did vote for him.
Doing nothing is also a choice that has consequences.

I'm also derided for my #pacifist stance, being told that this is a privileged position and that Black and trans people like myself need to take up arms against oppression.
The amount of violence and hatred in the world is becoming too much for me to cope with. I feel there's nowhere on Earth I fit in at this point.
