I can't express how upsetting it is to me, as a person who has tried to amplify the voices of marginalized people like myself despite suffering from severe, often suicidal depression, to constantly be blamed, belittled, and derided by my so-called allies for my refusal to support the Democratic Party.
I left most social media networks partly because of this. Maybe I should leave Mastodon too. But I need to stay on top of things to be effective at my main work, volunteer editing on Wikipedia.
I'm also derided for my #pacifist stance, being told that this is a privileged position and that Black and trans people like myself need to take up arms against oppression.
The amount of violence and hatred in the world is becoming too much for me to cope with. I feel there's nowhere on Earth I fit in at this point.
