I think "Autism," isn't a thing, it's not a thing when you have to define it as, "anything," is it?

I think Allism is a thing, and they define it constantly as rather narrow.

So they aren't really looking for a cause for, "Autism," because that's not really a thing - what they are doing is trying to protect Allism, looking out for things that threaten Allism, obstacles to Allism.

Their whole world is about creating it and protecting it.

I suppose that's just always for them - but if I were desperate for hope I might want to imagine that if they feel a threat to their type, that maybe there is one. I hope so. 馃挏

@punishmenthurts I've never heard somebody voice that but what you said is the logical position I would say. logical in the sense that it aligns with the facts rather than denying them.
if "autism" cannot be defined then it is just normal human variance.
whereas "allism," or the condition called "this person doesn't have autism" is a narrowly defined condition defined specifically by its symptoms. like any typical disease.
noteable one of its symptoms is the desire to "cure" human variance.
(although, we may at some point have to consider that wood smoke has been part of the human respiratory diet for a very long time, it's probably doing something - just not recently, or not only recently)

of course modern fires aren't just wood smoke, but still, environmental brain damage is NOT Autism. Separate conversations, all three things, wood smoke, plastic smoke, and brain damage, and Autism is part of none of them. 馃挏
