Yay! My #Mastodon trifecta is now complete! My blue & orange (is it orange‽) #Plushtodon came in last night, & I opened it yesterday, but I was too tired to post about it as I just got off work.

But yes, I am excited that the two smaller Plushes arrived! Thanks @Mastodon for creating these!

Also…we need more #ActivityPub apps to create real world wearables or plushies, as they are great conversation starters for folks who are not familiar with the #Fediverse.

I've improved federation support for Lemmy and other servers that support FEP-1b12 Group Federation.

I had to increase the number of available file descriptors on my personal server 4x because of the resultant inbound volume of ActivityPub activities! I liked a federated post and DOSed my server.

That's institutional communication, but there are so many european politicians, from national ministers, party leaders, member of national parliaments or Meps that do interact on X.
It would be awesome if they could just shift that kind of comunication to #fediverse

@GLaDTheresCake That is indeed how moderation works.

When a racist or other type of unacceptable comment is posted one is able to do something about it. Remove the comment and reprimand or block the sender.

An instance that is clearly a hotbed of hate spreading individuals will indeed be de-federate. That is very effective to block the reach of those comments.

This is how the #fediverse works and how things work on any other online platform.

Imagine you couldn't send e-mail from @gmail.com to @yahoo.com .. why do we tolerate this in social networks and walled messengers?

It does not mean we do have to win or something. All we need to be is viable alternative for people, who figured out someone is puppeting them...
