Based on the initiative Leave X, I wrote to all of the Swedish members of parliament still active on X, currently 230 people. Out of those, **9 people** replied within 24 hours. #leavex

We’ve redefined how the statistics are calculated. From now on, only politicians with an X account are counted. We’ve also updated the wording from “inactive” to “exited”.

If a MEP has an X account and hasn’t publicly stated that they left, they are considered active. Only MEPs who delete their account or explicitly announce they are leaving X are counted as out of X.

Finland is often cited as a leader in digital literacy and counter-disinformation. It makes me curious how Finnish politicians assess X today, as a neutral platform, or as an active disinformation risk.

Which European country will be the first to seriously lead by example and walk away from this disinformation machine?
