The little statue people appear to be showing mixed emotions about the layer of ice covering the steep steep driveway.

In the foreground is a handrail at the top of the frame, black with icicles hanging from it. In between the cables of the guard you see 3 small stone statues, their faces staring out past the right side of the frame. The first, a look of concern. The second, shares a look of mild excitement. The third, almost joyous.
