Last week the Safety Not Surveillance coalition hit the streets of London.

We sent the message that so-called 'crime-predicting' tech must be BANNED!

Because we have the right to be presumed innocent, not predicted guilty.

This tech fuels racism, enables unchecked police power and threatens all our rights. Ban it!

Join the fight against crime-predicting tech

Why is this important? The police say AI will make us safer. The truth? It automates injustice and racism. Predictive policing tools don’t predict crime — they predict policing. Built on flawed police data, they target the same communities that have always been over-policed: Black and racialised people, low-income neighbourhoods, and migrants. This leads to: • Over-policing • Unjust stop and searches • Harassment, handcuffing, and use of force against targeted people We all deserve safety, not surveillance.

End Prosecution Of Peaceful Protestors in #UK

Arrest of peaceful #protestors is violation of UK’s international obligations to protect

- #Rights of #freedom of expression & peaceful assembly

#Police made over 2100 arrests under #TerrorismAct 2000 for #peacefully protesting banning of #PalestineAction in UK

It's violation of UK’s international obligations

It's disproportionate to the point of absurdity

It can’t go unchallenged

End the Prosecution of Peaceful Protestors in the UK

Police have made 2300+ arrests under terrorism laws in the UK for protesting peacefully against the banning of Palestine Action. This cannot go unchallenged. The UK’s chief prosecutors must now decide whether to prosecute them. We need to urge them not to. Add your name to the letter.

Something extraordinary is happening in #Iran:

#Women are really really not giving a fuck anymore

What started as protests over the murder of #MahsaAmini by religious morality #police in 2022 for not wearing her headscarf simmered and now is snowballing. Women and girls are not wearing the mandatory #hijab at ever increasing rates

On a trip to Tehran, an AP journalist sees a changing Iran

More Iranian women are choosing to forgo the country's mandatory hijab. This shift was unthinkable just a few years ago in the Islamic Republic.
