I have long been a fan of #Eurovision but am quitting in disgust at the decision of the #EBU to allow #Israel to continue to participate and use the contest to whitewash its ongoing #genocide in #Gaza

Israel is to be allowed to compete in the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest. Ireland, Spain, the Netherlands and Slovenia will now boycott. Belgium & Iceland to consider their positions.

Ireland among countries boycotting Eurovision after Israel allowed to compete

There had been calls for Israel's exclusion over the war in Gaza, as well as unfair voting accusations.

Dear BBC

It had been announced that Israel is to be allowed to participate in the next Eurovision Song Contest. In view of the horrendous atrocities being carried out by the Israeli state against innocent civilians in Gaza, the BBC must disassociate itself from this event. At the time of writing the BBC has made no intimation that it is minded to withdraw. To not withdraw would be to tacitly support the killing of innocent men, women and children in Gaza.

I formally request that the BBC state that it will withdraw from the Eurovision Song Contest unless Israel is excluded. — Dear BBC It had been announced that Israel is to be allowed to participate in the next Eurovision Song Contest. This #terf lost her case, but she’s not happy. Judge made it clear she had several options/choices of facilities to use, and was not being discriminated against, or put under any fear at all.
Of course the #BBC has to do their #transphobia by writing ‘of a man who identifies as a woman’ in terms of the trans person in this case.
