When an empire starts to crack, as it does now, it doesn鈥檛 suddenly become humbled and honest. It panics. It lies louder. It tightens control. It increases distractions. It tries to install fear in the body so we鈥檒l obey without being asked. And the cruelty we鈥檙e seeing, this casual abandonment of truth and moral ground, doesn鈥檛 read as strength to me. It reads as a system that鈥檚 scared. A system that can feel its story failing.
