#Listening to How Ya Doing from the 1989 album Songs From The Front Lawn;
https://thefrontlawn.bandcamp.com/album/songs-from-the-front-lawn
I've heard this a few times, but listening to it tonight, it's like I never heard it before. The psychedelic jazzy musical stew is mesmerising (and I'm not even high!). The kiwi bloke banter is just so ... kiwi. Nailed it.
A darker version of Common Blokish can be found on the 1990 Tall Dwarfs album Weeville.

#Listening to Crippled by Supergroove;
"These days go on
The nights are empty now you're gone
And I can see
You carry on unerringly
I hope that you don't turn into what you used to hate"
https://youtube.com/watch?v=cZQMeO_ifUU
This was one of the new tracks on the epic 1994 EP Tractor. Released as a companion to the shortened radio version of You Freak Me, which was on heavy rotate on commercial music radio the same year.

#Listening to A Salt With A Deadly Pepa, the 1998 album from all-women's hip hip pioneers Salt'n'Pepa;
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ebvbrJoZvQ
Consisting of MCs Salt and Pepa, and DJ Spinderella (best DJ name *ever*, hands down), this group became legendary during my high school years for the funky wordplay of the sex education anthem Let's Talk About Sex. The only song of theirs I can remember hearing before today.
