I appreciate the rationale behind encouraging humor and whimsy at #NoKings protests tomorrow. Nobody wants to give Trump regime or counter-protesters any excuse for going violent. But I will still be bringing my anger, my disgust, and my horror at the regime and all those who have enabled it and are continuing to enable it. As a woman, I am especially put off by demands that I make my wholly warranted fury more palatable by cloaking it in humor.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the spokespeople for the White House, the office of the President of the United States:
