There are a lot of areas where I can at least roll my eyes and ignore the brash injection of #AI functions into apps, but funnily enough the one that drives me totally up the wall is all the "suggested" responses – regardless of whether it's in slopfactories like #LinkedIn or in messaging apps that have moved from autocorrect to autosuggest to now auto-write-the-whole-thing. Fuck off. Leave me alone. Stop suggesting insultingly insipid bullshit for me to touch a button and send when I'm talking to my husband or my mother. Just get the fucking fuck off my screen and let me type my words in my style without breathlessly suggesting I can emotionlessly pretend to be engaged in an actual conversation.
