I've known since ca. 2023 that I needed surgery. My nasal septum was so crooked, even I as layfolk could see at a glance at the X-ray that half my nose was badly blocked; and thus, sinus infections galore for decades.
What I didn't know until post-op today was that the blockage was worse than we thought: 90%.
So now I am home, and the aftermath is not fun, and I'm grouchy enough that I feel like everything is stupid, but I'm grateful. Breathing is apparently something humans do,
