I need to know if voters over the age of 65 get Zack #Polanski…because both my dad and father in law have decided they don’t trust him, but can’t say exactly why. My mum and mother in law meanwhile say nothing.
I think they literally hear his framing of being a populist…and run a mile.
I’ve tried saying that I’m sick of the Overton Window being skewed to the Far Right and anyone who can shift it back a bit deserves our support…but no, they think he’s ‘vaguely dangerous’
About 10 years ago I came across a website that allowed you to answer questions on all policy areas, giving your views on as many as you liked (it was similar to this, but a different site: https://votecompass.uk/)
At the end, you submitted your views, and it showed you which party/parties you were most closely aligned with.
At the time I did it, there had been over 400,000 responses UK-wide.

As a Scot I look at those results and think "interesting but apparently excluding the SNP". Presumably it only caters for parties registered in your electoral region.
At the end, it showed which parties were most popular. At that time, 50% of the respondents were most closely aligned to Green party policies.
A big part of the problem is down to psychology. We tell ourselves we are a logical species. When it comes to making decisions, our general way of operating is emotional first, and then we seek 'evidence' that backs up that emotional response.

The right wing press and politicians know this, and endlessly exploit it.
Until we teach generations from their early years to understand this process, and find ways to see when they are being manipulated, the political decisions we make as a population will not be in our best interests made

It’s now understood that the #GreenParty have more members than the #Tories.
This is a big deal.
But to capitalise on their new found popularity in a FPTP system, #Polanski needs votes to pile up geographically.
I like everything I’ve heard so far.
Bit concerned about something he was supposed to have said in his past, but my age prevents me from remembering what it was!
But otherwise he seems like a breath of fresh air.
Love how he’s able to reframe trite questions and hit the mark, pointing to what really matters.
