Another #flock update. Our local anti-flock activist group successfully convinced a local financial institution to cancel their contract with Flock. They're removing all Flock devices from every location across the state! If you get like minded folks together you can make a real difference! Especially at the local level.

@thenexusofprivacy I should also give credit to the many other folks who pressured both cities who aren't actively involved with Eyes Off Eugene. Our council meetings have been slammed with anti-flock comments for months.
@thenexusofprivacy I'm in Oregon. We've (Eyes Off Eugene) so far prevented the city of Springfield from turning on their recently installed #flock cameras, and convinced Eugene to turn theirs off. Both cities are deciding what to do long term. Then we convinced the financial institution to cancel their contract. Making a lot of progress here!

Is there draft legislation available yet? They're still having behind-the-scenes discussion of the Washington legislation. Something is going to pass but it's still an open question of how strong it will be.
@thenexusofprivacy I'm not aware of any draft legislation, no. I don't think things have gone that far yet. I'm not really involved with the state level things much myself but if I see anything I'll let you know.
