Cyanotype is a photographic process that has been
around since 1842. The process involves mixing chemistry,
coating paper and exposing to UV light, which is why they
are often referred to as sun-prints.
After coating the paper with solution, | place pressed flowers
& plants on top and expose to light. Everywhere that the
light touches the chemistry turns blue and anywhere that an
object or negative blocks the light, stays white.
These prints were mostly made with pressed flowers collected
from my garden, sidewalk cracks around my neighborhood.
or sustainably foraged while walking in the woods.
