And the more it is a closed platform the stringer is the effect. It's less on a platform that one can use without logging in, even less if there is an RSS fee or the content is distributed through an open protocol anyway.

AND it's prerequisite for people to migrate here.
@Em0nM4stodon @kzeta By not producing content for popular platforms, you are limiting the audience for your content.
Think about that, too.
There has to be a compromise that satisfies your needs and conscience.
@Em0nM4stodon I do I promise!! My late father's every day goal was to make another person smile or uplift them, and that has grown down on me 🫂💚
You're already on a slippery slope when you start calling what matters to you "content", that you are "producing".
Once a platform encourages you to think like that, you should seriously consider leaving it.
@Em0nM4stodon looking directly at Bluesky and Substack.
I used to follow some meaningful journalists, but cannot any longer because they’re on those to platforms only. They think they have to be there in order to have an audience. It’s upsetting.
@Em0nM4stodon It really disappointing me how many people refuse to leave Twitter/X regardless of how bad it becomes. I guess it proves people are willing to put up with the worse enshittification and still won't leave.
We have a responsibility to post (and repost) meaningful stuff. Else we're just mindless pawns in the hands of the media billionaires. You are what you promote.
@Em0nM4stodon users are the whole asset of any social platform after all.
Never thought of that, but you’re absolutely right
@Em0nM4stodon By being easily reachable on a platform, you are actively incentivising people who wish to reach you to be on that platform.
@Em0nM4stodon plus constantly suffering the mental ware off, I have been trying to keep presence in #X to try to enter the bubble of "main stream" users and attract them to the decentralized side, but it is extremely exhausting, constant mental pain and fatigue of so much bullshit 😭
@Em0nM4stodon i am actually migrating from Instagram to the fediverse but still learning how it is working and meeting new people 😊.
I hope to make the final switch this year 🤞
@Em0nM4stodon glares at screenshots of BlueSky posts from @rbreich
@Em0nM4stodon OK! OK! I’ll go post something.
@Em0nM4stodon by producing content on 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑠 platform, I am also encouraging others to stay on that platform.

Someone compared a certain platform to a bar.
They said, "if you're in a bar and they don't kick the Nazi out, you're in a Nazi bar".
@Em0nM4stodon Another reason I am exclusively here! :3
@catsalad ditto. I closed all my other social accounts and requested deletion of my data long ago. Nowadays I even block all their domains so I don't accidentally give them any traffic.
My life is better for it, and I haven't missed them for even a moment.
Come for the cats, stay for the people.
@LevZadov @catsalad @Em0nM4stodon
Come for the cats, stay for the donkeys.
@Em0nM4stodon THIS.
This, 117%
Message to ALL individuals STILL at #BlueSky or #xitter, #instagram, #facebook, etc.
It's on them, it's a conscious choice they should be held accountable for, later.
@Em0nM4stodon except if you say "Get the hell off this platform" and honestly if you say it in too much of an entertaining way it might backfire even then
