#Amazon: "rent this movie for $ or buy it for $$"
They know that they are not selling you a movie you keep, just a movie that you rent for a longer time.
This is #deceptive but it's also #profitable.
@eff Use Calibre (before the 8.16.1 update featuring AI slop)
@eff Then simply don't rent. Buy books made of paper, not 1s and 0s. Simple. Also, they look nice in a shelf. And when on a train, using it keeps you from fumbling with your phone.
So many pros, no cons.
Oh, and you can slap bugs with it.
