@Em0nM4stodon the Patriot act applied specific verbage that states that the government can not collect it store certain information on citizens. BUT as long as they pay a 3rd party who collects and stores that information they have free reign.
"The Cloud" is the 3rd party that was developed to collect, store and sell that data. Always has been
