Ex-Tory Home Secretary Suella Braverman defects to Reform UK

Honestly, I would've thought she would consider Reform a bunch of wet lefties. Given her own politics.
@cstross Reform spokesman was at pains to emphasise she has not received treatment for any mental health problem.
@cstross "Toryform UK: All the ineptitude you love, but now with added fascism!”
@cstross In other news, Reform are moving their headquarters to Mos Eisley
We're all going to be checking @Simon_M 's list every time something like this happens, for the next month or so.

Leaky Sue joining Tories 3.0 is not on there.

@cstross Or they'll wait until Labour moves in.
@cstross
Since we're at it: since when is "shutter the window/the shop/whatever" common in English? In my school days 50 yrs ago this was all "shut".
@cstross It will soon be time to update the "Save badgers, cull Tories" flyer on the fridge to cull Reform.
@cstross I didn’t expect Sueva Braverman moving to the left
@cstross that dude who wears a Vileda mop for a hairpiece went over already, right?
@cstross she will soon defect from Reform UK to the Sith.
@cstross Reform 2024: We are the only alternative to the failing Conservative Party.
Reform 2026: We are the 2024 Conservative Party.
@cstross
I wonder which lawyers are currently making a packet working out who owns the various assets. Because I'm damn sure the Tories don't want Nigel Farage's private company to just get "their stuff" by default, whether or not they want to merge at a political level.
@cstross If I were Farrage, I would have a serious itch between my shoulder blades now.
@cstross Reform is full of defects.
Yeesh. The Trump-sucking Farage party is somehow a rising star?
@Phosphenes It's more like the Tory party is sinking rapidly and the rats are deserting.
There's a by-election soon and it will be *enlightening* to see whether RUK or the Greens take it from Labour (after Starmer backstabbed Andy Burnham's attempt to run for the seat).
Theoretically rats are not supposed to leave a sinking ship for a sinking lifeboat.
My mistake then was the assumption that RUK is sinking, based on its cosiness to an increasingly hated American regime.
So UK could join US in Hell?
In the US our Greens are a joke. They are professional spoilers without a plan. Hopefully better in the UK.
