"Today’s anniversary of "Information Management: A Proposal" that Tim Berners-Lee wrote on 12 March 1989 prompts me to stop and reflect on the importance of the web, and the key role the World Wide Web Consortium plays in making the web work — for everyone"

@w3c @seth

noticed that you all have an RSS feed which you display proudly.

i remember when RSS wasn't good enough for the W3C -- you all wanted to replace it. apparently you've given up on that.

i remember being urged to create new formats when XML was announced -- "now developers can create their own formats" -- but that came with a caveat, unless it was useful and became a defacto standard.

how about putting that in your future plan, reconciling with RSS and independent developers.
