A local white-tailed jackrabbit (actually a species of hare, not rabbit) is in solar-charging mode, having found a bit of sunbeam passing between our house and the neighbour's in the mid-afternoon.

A white-tailed jackrabbit sits in the snow on top of a raised garden bed in a suburban back yard. He has his feet together underneath him, and his body pulled into a volume directly above them. His head is half-down, and ears flat back against his back. His eyes are open the merest slit.

He is winter-white, but starting to turn brown as the days lengthen here, so along with their permanent dark markings on the ears and nose, some brown fur is starting to show through the white in his dewlap/chest area and in a spot on his back near his rear end.
