🚨 Less than 168 days remain before Android becomes a locked down platform!

Google intends to force all software developers to register with a centralized Google service before their apps can run on the biggest mobile operating system on the planet, regardless of whether those apps are distributed via Google Play.

Will this affect versions without Google, as well?

I use Lineage, and actively avoid Google, only one app I'm missing as most things with a purpose also mirror their own app for people without Play access.

And those that don't can be replaced.

@Hakuso uncensored versions of Android will not be affected, but losing access to most Android devices will probably disincentivize FOSS developers to make Android apps in the first place, so you may be indirectly affected by lower app availability in the long-run regardless of what version you use.
