This is a year old and the only thing that has changed is that, slowly, what he says needs to happen - the strengthening of European defence and the awakening of people on both sides of the pond - is happening, albeit slowly. But it _is happening_.
And the takedown in the first half of the speech is absolutely scathing and on-point. Tres magnifique.
I don’t understand French, but a few occasional words because cognates between French and English. The rhetorical power of his speech comes through nonetheless you could just turn off the subtitles and listen to the power and conviction in his delivery
